A twin-engine delta-wing multirole fighter, the Rafale was developed initially as a Future European Fighter Aircraft. Disagreements between the participating nations concerning the project led Dassault to continue development on its own, with official production beginning in 2001. The Rafale is a competent platform and is intended for practically any mission. This model faithfully recreates the fighter Rafale C as part of the French Fighter Group '1ere Escadre de Chasse' (established in Dijon 1932) in 1/48 scale. The fully assembled model is 32cm long and 10.2cm tall.
